Maybe. I suppose it's irrational to be angry that I refused to allow my dead brother to celebrate my birthday, and then do the same to my living sister.

In your defense, she is a menace. But I have faith in her. Besides, she put me in charge of planning her birthday party, so you'll have an opportunity to get her back if she tries anything.

I think it was mostly shame. [...] I'd been thinking about it when we were together. Making plans. I felt stupid looking at it in retrospect.
